Nordeus is the best employer in Serbia and The Region!
We are proud to announce that we are The Best Employer in Serbia and The Region, chosen by the employees!
Nordeus was awarded in 5 categories: Best employer in Serbia, Best employer in the region, Best organization, Best development opportunities and Best interpersonal relations.
The research was conducted by Infostud, company that owns the biggest and the most visited employment website in Serbia. 85 companies from Serbia, Croatia and Bosnia & Herzegovina have taken part in this study. The aim of it was to determine the factors of human resource management on which companies in Serbia and the region should further work on, in order to create successful teams and achieve better business results, as well as to recognize and reward companies that care about the employee satisfaction the most.
The research for the Best employer was conducted through anonymous questionnaires filled in by employees. The survey contained demographic questions as well as 80 statements that were related to Corporate communications, Working conditions, Organization of work, Development opportunities, Interpersonal relations, Employee loyalty and Workplace satisfaction. The questionnaire also contained an open question where employees could give their opinion on what else the company could do to further increase the employee satisfaction.
Happy 2nd birthday, Top Eleven!
Yesterday the world’s most played football management game Top Eleven Football Manager turned 2! Two years ago, on May 9th, this life-changing experience called Top Eleven was launched, gathering thus far 4M players on a monthly basis and 1,35M players on a daily basis, a team of 60 talented and smart young folks who got the chance to call this fun environment their job. Using the occasion, we’d like to thank everyone involved in this exciting process: the Nordeus team, our partners and not last – our loyal users! We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again – we wouldn’t do it nor want to do it without you! And of course, as the tradition of celebrating such events says – we had cake (a pretty nice one, while we’re at it).
Thank you for being aboard and here’s to many more years!

Top Eleven is now on Odnoklassniki
Perhaps you heard about one of the biggest Russian social network Odnoklassniki, didn’t you? People connect there, make friends and of course they play games. We couldn’t ignore that and took over Odnoklassniki just yesterday. Needless to mention we are on the right path – in just one day the game was installed 27K times! Not bad at all we say 
Nordeus crowned as The best start-up
Las week we were crowned People’s Choice best start-up at London Web Summit 2012, held in East London. This tops off what’s been a fantastic 24 months that has seen the company grow from three people to a team of 50! The award, which was voted for by the public, saw us beat the likes of Angry Birds developer Rovio, music streaming service Spotify and the game Moshi Monsters.
After collecting the award Branko (our CEO) had this to say:
“To stand out to the public in a field of such talented and innovative start-ups is very humbling. This week our 50th team member joined and we’re growing at such a rate that we’re not going to be considered a start-up much longer, so we’re going to make the most of this award while we still can!”
London Web Summit was a one day conference that 50 high profile speakers attended, including BlackBerry’s Laurent Hasson, JP Rangaswami from Salesforce and Marcus Sagal from Zynga to address 1000 attendees.

If you’ve been around for some time you already heard the big news – Top Eleven got its own Club Shop which means you can now buy (at very affordable ‘prices’) health packs, jerseys and emblems to pamper your players and get better results. But that’s not all! Besides purchasing finished and really cool items you can customize them too – whether it’s a jersey or emblem – it can now have your favorite colors and patterns just perfect to make your club unique. So wait no more, make your club special because a good manager always puts his team ahead of everything
Nordeus in the Snow!
We like to have fun. Our games are fun to play, our office is fun to be in and our work is fun to do. Once a year we really like to up the ante though. This year the whole of the Nordeus team went to Kopaonik, one of the largest mountain ranges in central Serbia.
As well as the skiing, eating and the fetching snow outfits, we spoke about how we make 2012 as good as 2011 was for us. We were named at The Number One Sports Game on Facebook, we’ve hired some amazing new members of staff and (most importantly) we had a lot of fun doing it!

Without even noticing it, 2011 has slowly made space for a new year – 2012. We have so much to be grateful for to 2011: the amazing people who joined our team for the past twelve months, the mind-blowing results we accomplished (Top Eleven v2.0, apps for Android and iOS platforms etc.) and not last we’re immensely thankful for having such awesome players who never cease to make us happy and show us that the hard work was more than worth it. We had a great year and are very excited for what’s yet to come.

Nordeus Hackathon 2011
As you all know on 23rd December Serbia had its first hackathon which was organized by Nordeus folks i.e. us . To say those 24 hours while hackathon was going on were beyond exciting and fun is a big understatement – we had a blast and so did the 43 smart and passionate young people who got the chance to be a part of this event. Speaking of numbers, here are a few of them: 11 teams and 11 separate offices for each team, 43 students from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Mathematics from entire Serbia, 24 hours of coding with eating/sleeping breaks (just for the record, nobody slept even though we had a fully prepared sleeping room for them), average age of all the participants was 22 years old, 3 check-points when Nordeus employees could get a glimpse at what the teams were up to and offer some help where needed, quantity of energy drinks they drank – unknown .
The teams gathered to compete in creating a game in 24 hours and the concept for the game was the one of the well-known Tower Defense (which they found out right before hackathon started). But enough talking, here are the pictures which will hopefully show off the atmosphere, excitement and not least the sense of competitiveness that dominated during those unforgettable 24 hours.
Nordeus Hackathon was an amazing experience for everybody, we’ll definitely have more and we already can’t wait!
