Top Eleven 2016 Launches Football Associations

Nordeus, the creators of Top Eleven, the world’s most popular online sports game, has today launched its new Associations feature, an industry  first for football management games. Further developing the game’s social aspect, it gives players the opportunity to create their very own football association and invite their friends to join in.

Top Eleven players will be able to pit their managerial wits – and those of their friends – against other associations from around the world in weekend-long tournaments. The first ever Association tournaments will kick off on June 11th and matches will run from Saturday to Sunday, allowing Top Eleven managers to compete in their individual leagues and cups during the week.

The new feature allows Top Eleven’s 140 million managers from around the world to create Associations with four to six friends. As well as participating in tournaments in order to climb the Associations Divisions, the new feature also includes an in-game chat, the ability to boost friends’ teams with bonuses, loaning star players to each other, and in-game rewards for tournament success.

Bringing a new level of cooperation and collaboration with friends, Top Eleven Associations can be shaped by the founder. Known as the Association Captain, the founder decides on association membership and on who to promote a Vice-Captain. Vice-Captains are in turn given the joint responsibility of promoting, demoting or removing any association member not pulling their weight.

New videos exploring these updates, as well as a range of other improvements, are available on theTop Eleven YouTube channel.

“To become the best manager in the world you need great players, great tactics and great training,” said Jose Mourinho. “But you also need great support around you – as well as the ability to support others when they need it. These skills are integral to the new Top Eleven Associations update, where players can test themselves and their friends in new challenges for even greater rewards.”

Commenting on the launch, Nordeus’ CEO, Branko Milutinovic  said: “We’re taking Top Eleven to a new level with the Associations feature. By joining up with friends and facing off against other Associations, we’re able to truly test which groups of friends are the best football managers in the world. This new feature brings a new level of teamwork to Top Eleven – it’s absolutely essential to work together with your fellow Association managers to claim victory.”

Top Eleven is now six years old and we’re still growing. Associations brings the most socially engaging football manager experience to mobile yet, and is another example of how we are creating innovative, fresh content for our legions of Top Eleven fans,” he said.

These comments are echoed by Mladen Marković, a Games Designer on the Top Eleven  development team: “With the Associations release, Top Eleven is given a whole new dimension. The feedback we’ve gotten has been so positive that we are confident our players will love it as much as we do. By playing in tournaments with friends, we’re excited to see our managers share their passion for football like never before!”
